Print is an essential part of your organisation, it is your brand and it represents you. It must be accurate, consistent and high quality every time to ensure your message is clearly understood and appeals to your target audience.
Print management is increasingly seen in the UK as the most cost effective and time efficient way of sourcing and procuring print. For many organisations print procurement remains a complex, inefficient and expensive process that absorbs a significant proportion of marketing and purchasing budgets. We remove the headache of managing multiple suppliers.
Printercare are print managers and this means that we work for you on every print job to get the best print at the best price. We do this by liaising with a number of different, specialist printers providing anything from business stationery to full colour brochures to exhibition materials. This allows you to focus on your business with total reassurance that your print is in safe hands.
We believe that every print job has a different business objective and we are passionate that your message is communicated in the best way. Using 15 years experience we will:
Let’s say you’re sending a mailshot. What does that involve? A letter: an envelope: almost certainly a brochure of some sort. And unless you want to waste your time, a response mechanism – let’s say it’s a reply paid card. Four different items to be printed. And traditionally, that meant two choices:
Use one printer and you’ve an obvious problem...
He might be great for letterheads but how competitive is he for the brochures? Weren’t the envelopes a bit expensive last time? And how old’s his machine? You want 100,000 full colour leaflets – is that machine in the corner up to it? And supposing he misses the deadline? That’s the whole campaign up the creek. No. Risking the whole campaign by relying on just one printer can’t be the answer.
So you’re going to use more than one printer. Great! You’ll get the best price for all four parts of the job.
But you’ve got to find the most competitive printer for four different things. Co-ordinate four sets of proofs. Four of them have to meet your deadline! And how do you make sure they all use the same shade of blue?
No. It might be cheaper, it might even be a better end result – but you simply don’t have the time.
Two possible answers. Neither of them the right one. Maybe there’s a third way – and that’s where my 15 years experience with Print Management comes in. Here’s how an experienced print management company like Printercare would approach the job.
First of all we’ll have a meeting. I want to understand you, and I want to understand your business. You’ll tell me what you want from this particular job, and what your timescales are. I’ll listen and I’ll make suggestions. If there’s a better way, I’ll tell you.
Then I’ll come back to you – with specific recommendations, timescales, costings and a list of any information I need from you. We’ll go over everything one more time and check the artwork.
Next step? I’ll come back to you with proofs. If you’re happy, the printers get the final go-ahead.
Then we’ll keep a constant check on things – making sure the printers deliver on time, and in budget. And you’ll receive monotonously regular updates by e-mail.
Everyone was very impressed with the exhibition displays and one of our customers said that our brochures and business cards were the best he had seen in the industry.
