Snow. Always looks great, not so easy to move around in. Unless you have a Land Rover.
Since the snow came we've seen a marked increase in our online ordering. Maybe it's just coincidence, or maybe it's just because it is a quick and easy way to create and order printed items. Cuts out a lot of those meetings with the printers. Not to mention artwork costs for amendments.
Web2Print, as it's known saves up to 70% on print procurement. It enables you to access, store, retrieve, amend and order your printed items. The logos, layout, paper type etc. all stay the same and in the same place, you just amend the variable data, proof it and order it. For example, let's say HR needs a new business card - simple, log on, call up the template, amend it, proof it on screen and order it. Job done. Saves time and money.

While checking out prices for various marketing campaigns I came across a text marketer site. Text marketing at £37 per 1,000 (provided I had the mobile numbers) looked like being about the cheapest means possible of getting a quick message with, say, an offer across to people. In addition it is person to person and I can't think of many people who ignore their mobile phones when there is a text alert.

A couple of "firsts" here.
The first time I've written a blog.
The first blog on this website.
This website has been a long time from concept to creation but I would like to thank all who have contributed over the months. Mark Richards from Simplewords, Nick Henderson from TWIG Technology, Daniel Peake from Stone Communications and David Brooks, Jason Goodwin and Kevin Cappleman from Betton Design. There's been all the usual late nights, the drafts and redrafts and I am very grateful for all the hard work.
